was created from an image of a Blue Anemone in my garden. The name anemone comes from the Greek word for "windflower."
Anemones have a large assortment of symbolism tied to them. They are thought to represent anticipation and unfading love, good luck and protection. As a gift, these flowers may be meaningful in a number of ways, from presenting them to someone stepping into a new stage of life, to telling the recipient that you will always love them.
Mythology connects the anemone to magical fairies, who were believed to sleep under the petals after they closed at sunset. Perhaps it's because of this magical and prophetic tales that today in the language of flowers, anemones represent anticipation.
The background was created from an image of a blue iris from my garden, and in this image represents the ocean and the "Ocean of Possibilities" The ocean is indicative of spiritual refreshment, tranquility and renewal. ... If you are sailing across the ocean, then it signifies new found freedom and independence. The flower symbolism associated with the iris is faith, wisdom, cherished friendship, hope, valor, promise in love, wisdom. Irises may also express courage and admiration. In Greek mythology, "Iris" is considered to be the Goddess of Love. Blue iris is said to symbolize faith, hope, and eloquence in the language of ancient love lore. The iris's history is rich, dating back to Ancient Greek times when the Greek Goddess Iris, the messenger of the gods and the personification of the rainbow, acted as the link between heaven and earth. The Greek word Iris means rainbow. The flower got its name from the Greek goddess Iris, the goddess of the rainbow, who was a messenger on Mount Olympus. Iris would take messages from the eye of Heaven to earth by the arc of the rainbow. The word iris also means eye of heaven. It was the name given to the goddess, this flower, and the center of your eye. This means that each of us carries a piece of heaven with us. How do you find "Your Heaven on Earth"? In the ancient world the iris was a symbol of power and majesty used as the original scepter. The oldest iris symbolism comes from Egypt where the iris was a symbol for life.
Also depicted in this creation is the sailboat. Many interpreters see the boat as a symbol for optimism and as a token for promising developments.
Dreaming of a sailboat can mean that your life direction is important to consider right now. A sailboat symbolizes peace in times of change.
A boat is a common feng shui representation of wealth and of the energy of incoming abundance. The symbolic meaning of the wealth ship is the energy of abundance arriving into your port, so to speak.
The main color for this mandala, Blue is calming, healing, soothing, and relaxing. Blue characterizes dependability, trustworthiness, and security. And of course the hearts denote LOVE.
